Congratulations to Emilia Arrabo, this year’s recipient of the Award for Environmental Leadership. A 2022 graduate of Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School, Emilia plans to major in environmental studies at Tufts University. “Specifically, I am excited to go down the track of Environmental Health, Policy and Justice as well as Sustainability and Equity offered within this major. I hope to use my future knowledge to research and implement ways to lessen both the negative impact of the climate crisis and the policies made to combat this issue on people across all socioeconomic standards.”
The Sustainable Sudbury Award for Environmental Leadership was established in 2015 and is awarded annually to a graduating Lincoln-Sudbury senior in recognition of demonstrating, through academic and extracurricular interests and activities, commitment to Sustainable Sudbury’s mission of raising environmental awareness and sponsoring sustainable, earth-friendly activities in our community and beyond. Previous recipients include Grace Caltabiano, Katie Semple, Ceci Barnes, Sydney Merrill, Nicole Garay, Allison Densel, and Ava Guleserian.
