Do you have questions about Article 58 or Town Meeting? Join us for a Q&A session by zoom:

  • Wednesday April 27 at 7:30 to 8:30 pm

Climate change is an emergency now and for years to come. Emergency action by us and all humanity is required because climate change is accelerating – delay now will cause more severe, costly and even catastrophic effects in the future.

The good news is that we have the technology, and using it will also reduce energy and maintenance costs, improve our air and water quality, protect the ecosystems, make us independent of oligarchs, and generally make Sudbury and the world a better, more sustainable place. Also there are state grants to help people, businesses, and municipalities make the transition. All we need is the vision and the will to make it happen.

There is much that YOU can do as an individual.

Number 1: Show up at Town Meeting and Vote for Article 58!

You can read Article 58 in the Sudbury Warrant here on page 56. The three main things it will achieve are:

  • Acknowledge that Climate Change is an Emergency calling for Town action
  • Creation of a Climate Action Plan
  • Hiring of a Sustainability Director to advance sustainability, resilience and mitigation efforts, for the whole town — for government, residents, and businesses.

See YOU at Town Meeting!
