2018 Award For Environmental Leadership

Congratulations to Lincoln Sudbury graduate Sydney Merrill, this year’s recipient of Sustainable Sudbury’s fourth annual Award for Environmental Leadership. The award was presented by Richard Vanderslice, pictured here with Sydney at the Community Scholarship Awards ceremony on May 29th at LSRHS.

Dear Sustainable Sudbury and Richard Vanderslice,

Thank you for granting me the Award for Environmental Leadership. It means so much to me to be given this recognition for my commitment to Sudbury’s sustainability and earth-friendly initiatives, and the scholarship will help with the cost of my college education as I pursue environmental science. I’m excited by the environmental studies that Dartmouth College will enable me to pursue. I also look forward to spreading environmental awareness and supporting sustainable activities on my college campus. Their sustainability office is very active, so there are plenty of opportunities for me!

Thank you again for supporting me and my goals through your scholarship. I also appreciate Richard Vanderslice presenting the award as it was very nice to meet him!

Thank you,

Sydney Merrill
