Solarize Redux!

Have you wondered if installing a solar photovoltaic (PV) energy system makes sense for you? The good news is that while you’ve ruminated the prices have dropped. More good news: Sudbury’s energy committee joined with Lincoln’s and Wayland’s to apply for the Mass Clean Energy Center’s Solarize Massachusetts 2017 (http://www.masscec.com/get-clean-energy/residential/solar).

The proposed Solarize Sudbury 2017 will attempt to include community solar PV, nonprofit solar PV, and solar domestic hot water options. We expect to hear within this month if our application has been accepted. So, if you been thinking about solar energy – photovoltaic or domestic hot water – this summer improved buying options should be available. While the federal investment tax credit of 30% for residential solar PV systems has been extended at full value until 2019, now’s the time, because state incentives remain strong, but will be declining.  Email to be placed on a list for updates.
