RECYCLING/DONATING

  • First Saturday in October and April, 9am to 12pm at Curtis Middle School, our foam recycling collection (may shift a week in either direction to accommodate our recycler’s schedule and holiday conflicts).
  • Town of Sudbury Transfer Station recycling guide –  plastics, metal, paper, cardboard, light bulbs, batteries and more.
  • Ditching junk mail
  • Refoamit.com, Styrofoam recycling has gone out of business – we’re working on finding a new vendor!

  • HGRM – Household Goods Inc., is an independent 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization based in Acton, MA that provides household goods, free of charge, to people in need. We accept donations of gently used household items that will help people make a home.
  • ReStore – Habitat for Humanity ReStores are nonprofit home improvement stores and donation centers that sell new and gently used furniture, home accessories, building materials, and appliances to the public at a fraction of the retail price.  Habitat for Humanity ReStores are proudly owned and operated by local Habitat for Humanity affiliates, and proceeds are used to build homes, community, and hope locally and around the world.
  • Freecycle
  • You can also contact your private trash hauler for information on what can and can’t be recycled through them
  • Best Buy – some electronics and rechargeable batteries.
  • Staples –  collects used ink cartridges
